I received a B.A. in 2011 in Painting with a minor in Art History from ECSU and I am currently working as an art handler at both The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and at Real Art Ways in Hartford, CT. Turning from painting to sculpture, I find my style of work for my newer pieces is indicative of folk art aesthetics with a very huge influence of conceptual and abstract art of the 20th century. I try to assemble my sculptures with a minimalist hand, letting less become more and dealing more so with concept rather than intricacies and confusion with too much in the field of view. I draw my inspiration for my work mainly on my walks around Hartford watching the subliminal interaction between people’s body languages on the streets and the eclectic gathering of architecture in and around the Hartford area.
